A small group of our intrepid dragons, plus some friends/ family, headed to the French Alps recently to take part in the 5th Snow Dragon Festival. Having seen images/ videos online last year, some of us fancied giving dragon boating on the snow a go!
It was much harder than paddling on water, and a totally different technique, which we didn't have much time to learn- a 30 minute training slot and then 4 races, that's all. But, we put out 2 teams, Luna and Comet, and gave it our best shot! It was great fun and we met lots of fabulous dragons- some of whom we'd met in Barcelona last year, plus another Irish team.
We were also invited to paddle on water, on Lake Annecy, the following morning with a local team Droles de Rames. A memorable weekend for us all.
